Projects On The Table

And I do mean quite literally on the table. They’re stacked up and waiting for when I can find some time to do them and write up a post about the interesting ones.

Some of the things I’m going to be working on include:

  • An IC-271A 2-meter all mode transceiver repair and alignment.
  • Fixing a strange power supply fault on my main transceiver, a TS-450S.
  • Fixing an inoperative TS-120S (my first rig!)
  • New cables between my PK-232 and 2-meter FM rig
  • New enclosure for the Raspberry Pi I’m using for PSK31 and packet (and other basic station progress like logging and lookup)
  • New antenna mast for…
  • Home-constructed 2-meter groundplane made with common home-improvement store materials
  • 440 yagi using offcuts of the previous project for elements
  • Crystal controlled Altoids-compatible QRP transmitter and receiver kit for backpacking
  • And more.

Plans are in the works, so check back soon for an update on some of the above or the many others I’ve forgotten!
